What is $100 Worth Where You Live (US map)

July 19th, 2015 at 01:55 pm

I just saw this map on Apt. Therapy...

Our County says $100 is worth $100 (but is the most expensive place to live in our state), but for some places on the map it's like having a 20% pay cut (or a 5% raise in others). Interesting.

In other news:
Went to a party last night and had a great time. And of course another bonus was that we didn't need to make dinner, just a dish to share.

F has a friend coming over today, then soccer kick-around and then we may go out for pizza. We haven't eaten out since we got back from our vacation 3 weeks ago, so we've got money in that category.

Interesting. My $100 is worth $94, which is no surprise. I actually expected it to be lower.

It's $110 here Smile Although I don't think that's factoring in how darn expensive the Internet is here! I paid $30/month for fast Internet in NM, and now pay nearly $70/month for the same thing. Ugh!

$70! Yikes! I am in NM and it's now $43 with comcast. The only other option is centurylink and we were getting speeds that were so slow that we couldn't watch shows on hulu or netflix. They said we were in an area where a lot of people were sharing the speed... But $70 - eek!

PS - I think ABQ was $102 or something like that and Santa Fe was right at $100...

I had CenturyLink, and it usually was pretty speedy.

$89 here in Sacramento. No surprise there.
